Shamattawa Team, Day 7 Wednesday 7-24 Up early at around 7:00. Pastor pilot Dennis slept in the plane last night, but showed up for breakfast. Dennis and Nick stayed for breakfast, then off to the Band Office to use the internet for phone service. He filed a flight plan for the trip back to Sioux Lookout. They flew out at 9:00. One stop for fuel on the way at Island Lake, then on to Sioux
Shamattawa Team Day 6 Tuesday 7-23 It’s Tuesday our sixth day of the trip north. Today will be our 3rd day of teaching Vacation Bible School here in Shamattawa. Today we hold our VBS outside because our building, the Red Building, as it’s called is being used for an election today. Our teacherage unit “Old #20” has a rear cement patio that we can use as long as there is no rain today. Our Pastor
Shamattawa Team Teaching Day 2 Monday 7-22 Woke up early today, no sun in the sky, but YES! We have water coming out of the faucet. It came on around 6:30 this morning. So we were able to shower today, even with hot water. McKenna and Leon went to the front steps of the Band Office to use the Wi-Fi, Dave and Lori met us there to take supplies to the Red Building for today’s
It’s a sunny Sunday in Shamattawa. Dave had breakfast ready for us all once again. Around 9:30 we headed out. Dave to the Red Building to get set up. Lori Mckenna and myself to the school, about a mile walk to get on the wi-fi, as it’s our only source of connection to you, our prayer partners and supporters. The three of us made it back to #20 by about 11:30. Dave had lunch prepared
