Sunday Volunteers

Not only is there a place for you at Trinity, there is great need for your time and talents for doing God’s work. There are many opportunities at Trinity Lutheran Church to share God’s love, to serve your neighbor and to work with fellow Trinity members all to better the work of His kingdom. On Sunday mornings, multiple volunteers are needed. These opportunities include the following:

Greeters
Our Trinity Greeters are the first official representative of the church that those attending worship see as they enter the church. They are near the door to welcome familiar faces and, especially, guests to Trinity.

Ushers
An Usher is a volunteer who helps ensure that the church service runs smoothly by handing out bulletins, assisting people with special needs, collecting the offering, and ushering people in and out during the Sacrament of Communion.

Altar Guild
The objective of the Altar Guild of Trinity Lutheran Church of Fergus Falls is to care for all things in the chancel including the altar linens and paraments according to special days and seasons of the church year; the communion ware and communion preparation; the care of the brasses, the candles, the flowers and in general contributing to the total reverent atmosphere of the chancel and its furnishings. This is all done under the supervision of the Pastor. The Altar Guild is a service group of the church and is composed of two volunteers for each month and several who specifically care for the candles.

Sunday School Teachers
Volunteer Sunday School teachers, group leaders, and music leaders are a vital part of “planting the seed” within the children of Trinity through Sunday School classes during the months of September through May each year.

Many other volunteer and service positions within the church exist! Board member positions, VBS teachers/leaders, preschool helpers, funeral/special occasion prep and serving, event coordinators, money counters… The possibilities are endless! Please contact the church office to see where the talents God has given you can be used with in the church.
