This is an update from the Shamattawa team via a spouse still in the states: The Shamattawa team has been struggling with internet access. They had some storms on Saturday night that took the power out for about 14 hours. However, they have very nice accommodations and place to teach that is inside. The LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots) teams from Trinity will depart on July 13th and 14th for Shamattawa and Norway House, Manitoba for the 10th year to teach the children about Jesus. Please pray for the volunteers as they prepare and teach, for safety in travel, and for open hearts to hear the saving Word of God through lessons, music, crafts and daily interactions. The LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots) teams from Trinity Lutheran will be returning to Norway House and Shamattawa, Manitoba for the 9th year to teach the children about Jesus through four separate Vacation Bible Schools. The Norway House team will teach at three separate locations and there will be one session held in Shamattawa. Teams will be leaving on July 14 (Shamattawa) & 15 (Norway House) and will be returning on July 23.
Last evening we stayedShamattawa Team Friday 7-21-1Most of our group up and moving by 7:00 A.M. Finished packing up items for storage, had breakfast, eggs and cherry pancakes by Dave. Mary Ann Miles picked us up at 10:15 to get us to the church to store our supplies ‘till next year. This saves the freight costs of bring it back and forth each year. We then went back to the apartment to get our luggage.
