Shamattawa Team Day 2 Friday 7-19 As written in Thursday’s journal, I noted we were staying in the basement of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Winnipeg. Dave made breakfast for us as we packed up and got ready to head out. We had a detour to a walk in clinic. Leon had a minor health concern, so wanted to have it checked before heading out for 10 days where a doctor is usually not available.
After a short prayer time at the church in Fergus Falls, we left for Canada, but not before a wonderful send off from family and friends. The trip across our northern border went without a hitch. Just a few questions and we were off to Winnipeg. Shortly after the border at a rest area, we ran into two teams from the St. Louis area heading to Lynn Lake and Brochet. These two teams have been

Please keep our LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots) volunteers in prayer as final preparations are made prior to the teams’ departures to Manitoba. The Shamattawa team will leave on July 18th and the Norway House team will depart on July 20th; commissioning of the team will be held during Divine Service on Sunday, July 14th.
