Trinity Lutheran Church accepts and acknowledges all the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the revealed inerrant Word of God, verbally inspired, and acknowledges and accepts all the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church contained in the Book of Concord of 1580 to be the true and genuine exposition of Christian doctrine taken from, and in full agreement with, the Holy Scriptures.  In our church no doctrine shall be taught or tolerated which is at variance with the sacred Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments and with the symbols of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.  These symbols are:

• • The three (3) ecumenical creeds (the Apostolic, the Nicene, and the Athanasian):
  • The Unaltered Augsburg Confession;
  • The Apology of the Augsburg Confession;
  • The Smalcald Articles;
  • Luther’s Small Catechism;
  • Luther’s Large Catechism; and
  • The Formula of Concord.

Philosophy of Ministry

Our primary goal is to bring lost souls into a personal relationship with Christ and strengthen the faithful in their relationship with Christ. We achieve this by education of all members in the true word of God through worship, Christian education, and day school. We believe that through education, spiritual growth will occur and membership in the kingdom will increase.

Close Communion

Lutherans of the Missouri Synod commonly practice “close” communion. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper or Holy Eucharist together because we are “close” in faith. That means we agree concerning the doctrines taught and revealed in Holy Scripture. This practice of a communion closeness in doctrine and faith is Scriptural as well as an ancient practice of Christ’s Church. This is why we do not attend Holy Communion when we worship at churches that do not agree with us in doctrine and faith. So, we likewise request that you would refrain from communing with us for that same reason. We also encourage you to talk with our Pastor to learn more about our practice of close communion.
