The Mite Box

Mites may be coins or bills or checks given along with prayers for mission projects. Based on the Biblical account of the widow’s mite (Luke 21:1–4), the mite box is intended for regular contributions of “mites” — offerings above and beyond the support given to congregations and the LCMS. Mite Box contributions amount to millions of dollars that fund district and national mission grants and implement the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) program. These grants are for programs to promote the spreading of God’s Word near and far. Christ Serve Ranch/Lutheran Island Camp has been one of the recipients of a grant.

Everyone has an opportunity to support these mission projects by putting your mites in the big mite box the 1st Sunday of the month. Individuals can save their mites in their own small mite box found on the table by the greeting cards and then brought to church the 1st Sunday of the month to be but in the big mite box. The Trinity LWML thanks you for your support.
